Here’s my other The Sak convertible purse – remember the one with the rainforest? Here it is in silver. Convertible in many ways – crossbody to shoulder bag to clutch; full size to envelope style. I got this new at TJ Maxx around 9 years ago for a high school reunion.
Ok, I’ll admit it – these photos are from a few years ago when I carried this purse during the 50 days of Easter. The cane in the pictures belonged to my dear mother-in-law Ida McKenney. She was visiting us a few years ago, and we went to Panera for lunch. Ida died last May, and I miss her terribly. Not only was she a great friend, but she stepped up her mom role for me after my mom died in 2001. We loved to go thrifting together wherever we were – her house in Connecticut, here in Cincinnati, or when we traveled.
Jaiya modeled then helped me resarch this brand. G.I.L.I. get it love it. We found out that it’s a high-end QVC brand. If you check the G.I.L.I. page the bags are anywhere between $45-$300. Yeah NO. I got this suede convertible backpack shoulderbag from Goodwill for $10 within the last year. I was in a backpack mood and while I’ve stopped buying lots of bags, I would still get a backpack because I need things to be even on my back as much as possilble. But I have enough, so here you are.

So maybe I really went overboard with the Vera Bradley situation. They were $5 and $6 so whatever. This one has an adjustable strap to go from shoulder to cross body. Very roomy inside with some interior organization. I can assure you that my water bottle is in that bag. I need to start posting some of the brown black and gray bags or you’re going to think it’s a complete colorfest. IT’S NOT.

Last year when I went to the Episcopal Communicators conference at Kanuga, I had a rental car so I went into town to get… provisions. Lo and behold there was a little Goodwill shop and even though time was short, I HAD to go in. I found two great bags – the other one is also in the giveaway – and this one turns out is JUST like a Perlina bag that I have, with the main difference being this is pebbled leather and my Perlina bag is smooth.
This is a purse that acts like a tote. It has two zippered areas on the outer walls of the bag (they’re unzipped above) and the inner area closes with two magnets It holds a lot of stuff and has organization galore. This is one of those purses people carry and never switch. Good old Tignanello – a brand I know and love. And as you can see it was $3.75. WHAT??? I had to rescue it.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if bag 9 is for you.
Here’s a silky silver bag by Kenneth Cole Reaction, modeled by a tree near my car, a table in my room, and my rental car that brought me down here to the Dubose Conference Center in Monteagle, TN. Driving allowed me to bring enough bags to continue the giveaway away from home. This bag is convertible, roomy, and elegant. Use it as a small tote by carrying the handles, or adjust the strap for shoulder length or crossbody with the bag folded over. Pockets and pouches means your stuff is where you put it… as long as you can remember where that is. Lightweight so it’s great for traveling.
I found this Gianni Bini brown bag at goodwill and I bought it because lots of you like purses with organization. It’s small but packed with pockets, pouches, and slots for cards. I just drove to Tennessee for Listening Hearts training so I have to do this quickly. Email me at email@example.com with bag 6.
I got this yellow pebbled leather convertible shoulder and handle bag by The Sak for Christmas for myself a couple of years ago. Sometimes certain people can give some strange gifts so I’ve learned to be prepared with a gift for myself I’m sure I’ll like. It’s called self care. And what could be better care than a yellow bag to brighten any day of the week?
