Days 17 & 18

Yesterday’s bag, Tuesday May 2, started out to be a red Fossil satchel style cross body. As i wen to leave, i had to sit down for a few minutes. The daggone bag was too heavy and too small. Lots of hardware will get you every time. I couldn’t even think about going upstairs to find another bag. Then i remembered one I was going to give to goodwill, and went to the living room and grabbed it. Lightweight with three sections, it’s a really great bag. The handles have started to peel so it had to go. Not anymore.

Today i chose a Banana Republic pewter pebbled leather shoulder bag. It’s gorgeous, feels great, but is a black hole bag. It does fit my iPad and water bottle, however, so it’s a keeper. Thanks Goodwil!

Bag 35

I’ve been getting rid of lots of bags that are too heavy for me. Getting old is great, except for the various physical maladies that can arise. A neck issue means I can’t carry those fabulous but heavy purses. Here’s one that is NOT too heavy; in fact, it’s the lightest purse i own. That doesn’t change the fact that i can only have so many black bags. This is Kenneth Cole Reaction quilted purse that’s great for travel. Two side pouches and interior pockets keep important stuff handy. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if you want to “take it light.” Yeah that’s one of David’s phrases.

Here’s a Coach baby bucket-style bag, but with a flat rectangular bottom. Is it real? I think so. I always sit in the store and check the numbers. But, i’m no pro.  The good news here is that for you, there’s no risk – free is free. It’s a bit small for me so here you go. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if this is for you. We keep Spencer.

Stone Mountain remains a reliable brand for those of us who try to stay simultaneiously organized and cute. This one grabbed me with the silver studs that accent the matte almost-pebbled leather. Multiple interior pockets will keep your stuff straight, and the notorious key fob is included. Back zipper pocket and front pocket keep important items handy. This cutie was $4.50 at the St. Vincent de Paul. I usually save the price tag, don’t think my memory is so great. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if you’re interested in this one.

And someone please send food… Kaia doesn’t get back from Hawaii ’til Sunday afternoon. Jaiya did make her first steamed cauliflower today, though. We might survive.

IMG_3318Fell asleep – but it’s still Friday on the west coast, so… let’s talk about a lightweight leather tote from the sak. There’s lots to love about this tote, and frankly if i start describing it too much, i might keep it. Handles are long enough to fit over the shoulder, but short enough not to drag the ground when you carry it. Open tote to fit all of your stuff, but maybe not your laptop. Email 50favbags@gmail.com with Bag 21 if you like it.

Here’s one i offered before, but somehow it ended up in a bag in my family room. Don’t ask. It’s a Maxx New York Signature mock crock shoulder bag with lots of organization inside, and outer pocket perfect for a phone or other items you need to keep handy. Bags with lots of pockets hold more than you think they would, and structured bags keep things organized and not lost like a black hole hobo. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if you like it, and it’s yours.

I love baskets, and i won’t apologize for that. So when i saw this purse that’s essentially a basket purse… you know the rest. This structured shoulder bag converts into a handbag with a wrapped leather handle. While i hate to see it go, i have lots of other baskets to keep me company. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if you like this bag.

When you keep thinking, there’s something i’m forgetting today… we took these pics this morning, then i went to work, then… these girls…
