bag 7 – claimed

Throwback Thursday on a Wednesday to the 80s when some people had bags like this that I couldn’t afford. Yes – this is a vintage Blackwatch plaid Ralph Lauren Polo saddlebag crossbody. I got it for Kaia because she likes stuff like this but it found its way to the giveaway basket. The girls also offer bags for the giveaway. Often they’re bags that I bought for them, but not always.

If you had a blast in the 80s or wish you did, this Polo purse will bring you to that Xanadu you’ve been looking for. If you like this bag, email me at 50favbags@gmail.com with the following information: bag 7, your name, your address. Thanks!

bag 3 – claimed

Let’s just go ahead and get this one out of the way. I have a thing for the mailbag or saddlebag style of purse. This Fossil bag is leather on the front and canvas on the back and interior. That’s yogurt on the bag; daggone Siggi is no joke, but it will clean with no problem. The strap is very adjustable and takes this bag from a shoulder bag to a crossbody.

I found this Fossil several years ago at the Mt. Washington Goodwill. Those were the days when the girls were still at Sands Montessori and I still went out there on a regular basis. I used to get out to the thrift stores once a week. My thrifting frequency is one of the most significant changes since I started this blog. Each year I go a little less often. GIving up this bag is a direct result of my new normal of infrequent thrift shopping. If you like it, email me at 50favbags@gmail.com with the following: bag 3, your name, your address. Thanks!

Be sure to check back; bags that are still available won’t say “claimed.”

day 7

My UGG purse and I visited my dear friend Fr. Jason Prati’s church, All Saints Episcopal in New Albany. His office is so inviting. The Diocese of Southern Ohio capped off our program year of reading the Book of Exodus with lectures and discussion. Listening made me realize how much I miss school.

I got this bag at Goodwill back when the Mt. Washington location consistently received amazing purses. I’ll have to look back to see how much it cost. Less than $10 or $15. I enjoy saddle bags and the color reminds me of my mom’s Aigner bags.
