oh this bag. a gorgeous Perlina bag with all of her little details. if you don’t like velcro keep scrolling. two outer zipper pockets and a large middle section that velcros open and shut. this is a shoulder bag, would not fit a laptop but is a nice size for lots of other stuff, like ipad size or when you want a larger bag but want to be elegant. beautiful black leather, she’s beautiful. not all bags are she but she is.
if you’re interested in this Perlina bag email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address, and bag 15: Perlina.
Reading old posts about why I’m keeping a bag always makes me feel a type of a way when I’m getting rid of it. I’m talking myself out of letting it go with my own words from the past. That’s why this year’s posts are so much shorter. These really are the bags I said I’d never get rid of.
Here’s a Perlina i got years ago at the thrift store. Read more about it here in this post from 2013, the first year i started the blog. It’s a great bag and I’ve enjoyed using it. It’s got feet, one big section in the middle and two zippered sections on either side.
One more thing. This is not a scam. This is my Lenten practice. I reserve the right to block you in my email if you harass me about getting a bag. Naturally, this comment is based on folks saying they think I’m a scam and harassing me in my email.
Today I got my Perlina bag from the rack in the back of my closet where I hang bags I like to look at. I’ve had this bag for several years, and it passes the keep test because of the beautiful leather, classic style, room for everything and the cute hardware. I’ll go back and link these posts to older ones, until then use the tags if you want to find out more about a bag.
Today I thrifted and only bought a shirt for David. Here’s all that I didn’t buy.
Two more days until my journey ends. Here are days 30-39. I rediscovered some old favorites – all but day 32 were in the blog in April and May of 2013. One I’m getting rid of due to wear. So one new one in, one old one out – it’s balanced. That’s my ode to being a librarian not in work, but in life. My collection is smaller and stronger. Amen.

i surprised myself with this bag today – meaning i couldn’t decide on a bag, so i went into my hall closet where i have a few off-season bags. i found this Perlina bag at goodwill – i couldn’t help but appreciate all of the organizational touches in this purse. it has three sections – two outer zipper sections and one large interior with velcro at the top. when the velcro is closed, the bag looks like a purse. when it’s not, like when i use it because i have so much stuff in there, it looks like a tote. either way it’s cool. i can’t remember how much i paid, but probably $10 or $12. this is one that i’ll start using and have to force myself to switch.
with 11 days to go, i have to confess that i’ll be glad to not have to switch every day. but this has been an interesting journey, and i’ve learned a lot about myself along the way, as i hoped i would. but as i tell my daughters, it’s not over until it’s over. i’m in it to win it.
