Ah, I remember finding this one at St. Vincent de Paul in Mt. Washington for $6. I just saw one online for $165. Woven kilim style carpet bag with a doctor bag style hinged closure by T Cappelli in Plano, Texas. Complete with four brass feet, and a detachable crossbody strap, the brand is recognizable by the single ring on the handle. These bags were made in the 1980s, which is just my style. Well, usually. I grew up in the 80s, so let’s just say it’s my style era. Last year, I wrote: I enjoyed carrying it today and got lots of comments on it. I had it full of stuff, and the magnet closure did not fail. Can’t wait to carry it again in the future. This picture was taken in my office last April.
Yes yes y’all – DKNY for your Friday. I love these pics with my old van that we donated to charity last month.
This is a really cute bag, I call it my safari bag. I’ve never been on a safari, but whatever. Cotton khaki with cognac leather trim, two outer zipper pockets and a hook closure. Very roomy inside, and a long crossbody strap which goes across MY body means this is a keeper.
My dad bought this bag for Kaia and honestly, she never liked it and gave it to me. Of course, my dad was well aware of my mom’s predilection for Aigner bags and shoes. I’m sure that’s what drew him to this bag at the upscale resale store he frequents.
Lovely vintage cotton saddle-style bag with two sections inside, a back pocket, adjustable buckle strap, and leather trim. I have a DNKY bag that’s very similar that I really like, so this one is up for grabs.
If you like this bag, email me at email@example.com with the following: bag 22, your name, your address. Thanks!
And yes, that’s a Charlie Brown Christmas tree in the background and Bible Gateway on my computer with a Root for Jesus sticker. Mhmm!!
All bags will be delivered once I’m out of quarantine. I have extreme hygiene going on, but please take care when you receive packages and wipe them down or wait at least five hours before opening. PEACE
A newer to me Fossil that I got at Clothes Mentor last year. Coated cotton with leather trim, detachable adjustable strap, keys, and this supercool pattern. It’s got room for everything – even my laptop, if I use the strap. But it’s much cooler to carry it by the handles. And I gotta stay cool.
So here’s how it goes for me at the Mt. Washington St. Vincent de Paul. I go in and get a cart. I make my way to the back where the purses are and start from the right and move left. This bag was right in the beginning, because the colors go from colors on the right to browns, then black, then neutrals. Yeah, it’s this organized. If I see something I like, I get it and put in the cart and keep moving until I’m finished browsing. Then, I examine each bag. This one is a woven kilim style carpet bag with a hinged closure – think doctor bag by T. Cappelli. It has four brass feet, so I knew the quality was there. If I’ve never heard of it, I google it. Sometimes I find that it’s a BS brand, sometimes it’s a QVC or department store brand. Sometimes I find that it’s a legit brand from the 80s. I enjoyed carrying it today and got lots of comments on it. I had it full of stuff, and the magnet closure did not fail. $6.
Remember old school Liz Claiborne bags? I had a couple back in the day; the coated leather circle bags with the embossed pattern? Yeah, I know some of you remember those.
Today brings this Liz Claiborne fabric bag with leather trim that reminds me of Fall. Let me tell you: If you see a Liz Claiborne bag with these kinds of detials and this kind of zipper, it’s a higher end bag. There are some cheaper or knockoff LC bags, but check out the quality of the trim and hardware and you’ll be able to tell. This one has a beautiful leaf pattern with brown leather whipstitched trim. Very spacious with three sections inside: two large sections with a zipper seperator will transport all of your… stuff with style. The leather feet are the cutest part of this bag to me. Yes, I really like this bag, but I have a red leather LC that you will see in the 50 days of Easter, so I’ll be fine.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with bag 20 if you like this LC bag.
