I picked up this little baby at Valley Thrift and come on… Fossil, beads on the strap and zipper pull, the key is amazing; it’s all so adorable and classy. I am not leaving it there for $2.99. I know I used it at least once because the price tag is inside the bag, but I can’t remember when that was. So goodbye to thee, sweet baby. You are sooooo cute.
Here’s a bag modeled by my sweet baby Jaiya that may or may not be a Balenciaga. If it’s fake, it’s a great fake. The zippers flow like butter and the leather is soft and supple. It’s probably fake, but whatever. I got it for $20 at the St. Vincent de Paul in Mt. Washington last year after leaving it, thinking about it and going back for it. But after all of that research and thinking and driving I haven’t used it. I can’t explain why so instead I’m offering it to you. If you don’t care if it’s real or not and just like big soft slouchy totes with menswear touches, email me at email@example.com with bag 4.
If you scroll back through older posts from this year and it doesn’t say clamied in the title, the bag is still up for grabs. So go for it.
What’s this? A pile of purses? Must be time for my Lenten Bag Giveaway!
Year four of the giveaway starts on Ash Wednesday, March 6. I’m giving away a bag a day for a total of 40 bags. Yes, that’s right. Free. The last free bag will be given away on April 20, 2019.
Here’s how this works: Each day during Lent, starting on March 6, I will post a photo of a bag each day with a corresponding number between 1 and 40. If you see a bag you like from a post dated between March 6, 2019 and April 20, 2019, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Here’s what you need to say:

Follow the rules.
Email me at email@example.com with bag # if you’d like to claim it.
I deliver or mail to you.
Please do not send me a message on facebook, text me, or corner me except to say “I emailed you at firstname.lastname@example.org.”
How come i keep repeating the same thing? because, my loved friends, five years have taught me. repetition is important.
Any bags not claimed will go to a good cause, unless they end up in a box under my desk at work. Then, they go back into next year’s rotation, or to a friend who needs a spur-of-the-moment bag to go to the opera.
Today, Jaiya and I went to TJ Maxx, sat in the parking lot and decided we ddidn’t need anything and left. We went to Goodwill after that, and after choosing some bags to rescue I decided to leave them there for other folks and we left without buying anything. That’s how it is for me now – i can enjoy shopping and leave it all behind. Thank you, God!
I’m bout to get rid of some bags that I love. Watch for your bag!
Today’s bag is a white Nine West shoulder bag with a frame bag in the middle with two outer zipper sections. A small scuff on the back is easily buffed away with polish. Modeled by Jaiya.
I hope you enjoyed my Lenten giveaway. I sure did, even though this Lent was yet again atypical. I wish you peace and blessings for the coming Easter season.
Please look back through the posts and see if there’s anything unclaimed that you’d like to have. Currently available are bags 6, 7, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 39 and 40. Email me at email@example.com if you’re interested in any of those bags. They will go to Dress for Success next week.
Starting tomorrow I’ll be using a different bag every day for the 50 days of Easter. Looking back on the bags I’ve done through the last five years, many that I used in the 50 days of Easter end up in the 40 days of Lent giveaway. I’m excited to see how this year goes, and what more I’ll learn through this process. Happy Easter!
Here’s a cute backpack from MMS. Canvas exterior with goldtone studs, brown pleather trim. Found it at Goodwill for $8 in the backpack section. If you like backpack purses, i advise you to check in that section because they are often overlooked by people needing a larger, traditional backpack. Full disclosure – it has a little stain on the bottom. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in bag 38.
