When I looked back to see if I had a post for every day, I noticed there’s no day 18. All I can say is I realize how I forgot to do this post. Baggallini crossbody convertible coral bag. Great for travel, not so great when hiking.

days 40-49
It’s the final countdown. Honestly I was so far from the blog, for a variety of reasons. I completely lost count. Fortunately, i was going though the process in every other way, taking pictures of the different bags each day. Even though i knew Pentecost was close, i still thought i had another week after this. So there’s lots of great bags that i planned to use but won’t make it this year. Cool!

Well there you have it, one day to go, with commensurate wrap-up. Peace.
day 19
last summer, my purse was stolen out of my car. the inconvenience of replacing the stuff in it was one thing – the broken window was quite another. but the worst, for me, was the actual purse itself – it was a leather snakeskin metallic calvin klein purse that i found at my favorite goodwill. i got that baby for $5, thanks to the 50% off sale. i feel wrong saying that i loved it, but i really really liked that bag a LOT.
if you’ve ever had anything stolen, you know how it feels – i felt angry, violated, frustrated, and the worst feeling of all is that it was totally my fault. regardless, i got the window replaced, my license and cards replaced, and one day i found this calvin klein coral bag at the same goodwill for the same price.
although would love to replace the bag i had with an identical one, i’m glad i found this lovely, colorful bag. it’s heavy, due to the hardcore hardware. and you know the zipper thing i mentioned? butter. i don’t use it nearly as much as i used the other one, but here’s what i learned: if you really care about something, take care of it. and even if you do, you could still lose it. you can’t control everything. and when i say you, i mean i. this is a beautiful bag – despite the fact that it’s not pebbled leather!
day 10
time to return to a thrifting success. i was in my favorite st. vincent de paul when i saw this coral hobo by the sak from the checkout line. i almost didn’t grab it, because it looked a little small. boy, was i wrong. this bag holds a lot! my stuff, water bottle, coffee mug and a magazine – heaven.
the handle is whipstitched and lined, with a cool rope detail and hanging beads. the color looks great with all neutrals. i’m so glad i didn’t pass it up at $6.99!
so maybe a week later i find this purse in a different color, same purse though, at tj maxx for $59.99. score!
i took this photo at work, because i want you to know that i’m not just choosing my favorite bags, i am actually carrying that bag for the whole day. i usually switch in the morning, after staring at my closet trying to figure out what i’m going to wear and what purse goes with that, or choosing the purse and then figuring out what to wear with it. regardless, there’s a lot of staring.
