Some folks like new stuff; some folks like vintage. So for you vintage lovers out there, here’s a handmade Etienne Aigner envelope purse that converts from a shoulder bag to a clutch. If you’re a longtime follower of this blog, you know my mom LOVED Aigner and had an extensive collection. This bag is not one of hers, but I saw it at the thrift store, and it reminded me of her. So, of course, I bought it.
We used to watch a show called Clean Sweep. In the show, one of the hosts named Philip something or other said you don’t have to keep an item to keep the memory if all it does is create clutter. He encourages folks to take a picture of the item and let it go. Doesn’t let it go sound much better than get rid of it? I think so. If none of you like it or any other bag I post, I’ll donate them to Dress for Success.

This clutch would be perfect for your evening out or to dress up a casual outfit. It was so cute I could not pass it up at St. Vincent in Mt. Washington, but it’s way too little for me. The leather and the stitching ooze quality, and the carrying strap is unique.

The Sak makes some classic bags – lots of folks know the woven bags, and their various leather styles. This is a very cute convertible bag in a rainforest print. It’s coated cotton and can use the loops at the top for a larger bag or switch to the ones in the middle for a foldover purse. Take off the adustible strap for a clutch. I have another bag just like this in silver (watch for it). I love colorful bags, so if you love to wear basic colors this bag will give you a pop. If you like lots of patterns, well… go for it!
Here we have my Miu Miu little bag that I use when going out. It’s small but super dope and authentic. I’ve done all the checks. Got this for a few dollars at the thrift store. This reminds me that I need to go back and link older posts to the new ones. Not so easy when using the phone to compose. Anyway, this is a cute, high quality bag that I’ve enjoyed wearing.
Keeping it real – i’m sick today, and didn’t have the energy to take new photos. Here’s a very cute cross body bag by the sak that i found at St. Vincent de Paul for $7. Colorblocked red pebbled leather, smooth tan leather accented with black whipstiched leather, this little baby will go with lots of different looks. Perfect blend of dressy casual – it could go either way. Detachable strap means its a cross body, shoulder bag or clutch. Goldtone accents, around 6″x9″. This would be great to have in a bigger bag so you don’t always have to schlep your giant purse to lunch or out to Myrtle’s. Not that i know anyone who does that. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with Bag 20 if you’re feeling it.
There are a few other bags still available, scroll through the titles and if it doesn’t say taken, it’s up for grabs. Peace.
