Fossil colorblock at Music Hall for West Side Story: film with orchestra. It was excellent. So is this pebbled leather. This is a bag that once I start i carry it for a long time. I’ll miss it tomorrow. I did get this at the St. Vincent de Paul for $12.50 I think. A fave.
Today I got my Perlina bag from the rack in the back of my closet where I hang bags I like to look at. I’ve had this bag for several years, and it passes the keep test because of the beautiful leather, classic style, room for everything and the cute hardware. I’ll go back and link these posts to older ones, until then use the tags if you want to find out more about a bag.
Today I thrifted and only bought a shirt for David. Here’s all that I didn’t buy.
I found this bag at Goodwill last year and was attracted to the wooden handle. It’s by Zina Eva, who i’d never heard of, and when i looked her up, the bags were upwards of $200+ retail and even on eBay $65 for a smaller one than this. Embossed patent leather, lined in suede, with pockets inside and the one on the outside perfect for a phone, not too heavy, and the water bottle fits. WIN for $8.
I stopped by Goodwill today – these pics were taken in the parking lot of the Woodlawn location, where i went after trying to walk at Glenwood Gardens but freaked out because of all the people there. I found three bags that i would have purchased in the past but didn’t buy today. Earlier i’d stopped by the St. Vincent de Paul on Este, and left these three bags there. Really nice but… i don’t need them.
Lent giveaway bags still left, scroll down to view: bags 6, 7, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23, 30, 31, 33, 39.
The girls and I like a band that sponsors Puma, so now we are into all things Puma. I needed a backpack, and after the Everlane backpack didn’t work out, i found this at TJ Maxx for $20. That’s my kind of backpack. it has a computer sleeve, two large sections, a top pocket perfect for my phone and a bottom pocket filled with tissues, napkins, wooden coffee stirrers and real cutlery as i’m on a mission to reduce my plastic use. So today i highlight this bag and will often be carrying it with a smaller bag inside.
So. As Jesus makes his way toward his death, I make my way to the end of the bag giveaway. One of us made a MUCH bigger sacrifice. Mine seem super petty in comparison. Today’s bag is an Ann Taylor plush leather tote with three compartments and lots of stylish organization. I walked around with this for a long time at the St. Vincent DePaul on Este before i coughed up the $16. But when i went to get my 40 bags and didn’t have enough, i had to say, once again, how many black bags does one person need? And you know what the answer is? One less. Everlane twill backpack with leather trim. Retails at $70. Got it at Goodwill for $5. Love it because it’s a classy backpack. Only thing is it attracts lint. There’s probably something you can spray on it. Email me at email@example.com with bag 35.
