Bag 33

Five years ago this summer, my purse was stolen out of my car. Losing that particular bag was by far the worst part. That Calvin Klein snakeskin patterned leather hobo was by far one of my top five faves of all time. Last summer in Connecticut, at Goodwill, I found this bag made of the same leather with the same style hardware, but it’s smaller with a front flap closure over a zipper closure. I had to face it, it’s just too small for me. So if you like beautiful used designer bags, grab this cutie. Please mail me at 50favbags@gmail.com.

Here I go again with another vintage woven bag. This J. Foss leather tote has a Western touch, yet has African beads hanging on leather cords. It’s a multi-ethnic bag that will hold your 11″ laptop, your real-print newspaper, and more. Throw in a baguette and you’re back in the early 2000s. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if you like this baby.

Look who’s back on modeling duty! Kaia worked hard and enjoyed Hawaii, but she’s glad to be home. Me too; i was getting hungry for some home cooking!

Here’s a Coach baby bucket-style bag, but with a flat rectangular bottom. Is it real? I think so. I always sit in the store and check the numbers. But, i’m no pro. ┬áThe good news here is that for you, there’s no risk – free is free. It’s a bit small for me so here you go. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if this is for you. We keep Spencer.

B. Makowsky large hobo falls in the too heavy category for me. It’s gorgeous. Zipper details, silver strap details, leopard print lining, three sections inside with pockets. It can be a little black hole-ish*, but it’s the price you pay for style. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com if you like this one.

*don’t drop your keys down there.

The girls and I make fun of David sometimes because he’ll wear a blue shirt with black pants and brown shoes. We’re like, DUDE! Then why did i buy this purse that mixes three neutrals? Tignanello color blocked black, brown and gray in this large shoulder bag, and of course it works. They lined it with a beautiful, satiny print, gave it two side zipper pockets and three interior sections, and put it out there in the world for me to find it at the St. Vincent de Paul. If you like this one, email me at 50favbags@gmail.com. Then go ahead and mix your neutrals, or wear something super bright and let this bag ground you.

PS Jaiya is really getting into this modeling thing. Especially when i photograph her close to her bedtime.

Let’s just rip the Stone Mountain bandaid off and post this sweet bag i bought last year. Black pebbled leather with patent leather trim and handle, glossy pewter hardware, pockets everywhere, and it’s just classy. I have a friend who saw this bag and drooled a little. Ok, maybe not drool, but she definitely gushed. If you like structure, organization and class, you may like this bag. Email me at 50favbags@gmail.com for bag 27.

It’s funny that i call this bag small, and on Jaiya, it doesn’t look small. This girl is 5′ 7.5″ and weights 109. I’m 5′ 8.5″ and I don’t weight 109. Keep that in mind when evaluating the size of these bags. Peace!
