bag 28 – claimed

Latico purse from TJ Maxx. Yeah, a few years ago, orange was THE color, and I had no orange because it’s not in my color wheelhouse. So I thought I’d get an orange bag. I looked and looked and looked and the bags I liked were SO expensive. I settled on this one, and I think it was $60, but $59.99, so it didn’t feel as expensive. Yes, it did.

The leather is lovely, and the color is deep and bright. But it’s a black hole. Click the black hole tag for an explanation if you need one; I’ve explained it multiple times in previous posts.

If you like this bag, email me at 50favbags@gmail.com with bag 28, your name, your address. Also, a reminder that Sunday is a feast day – so check out the blog for unclaimed bags. Email me at the above address with the same info but the bag # you want. Peace!

bag 11 – claimed

Fringe. I don’t always love it, but when I do, it’s likely¬†on a bag. I bought this brown Raj fringe bag at TJ Maxx at least seventeen years ago, probably more. It’s a fun bag, but a bit of a black hole (meaning it’s cavernous with not a lot of organization inside) and I have another bag with fringe that I like a whole lot better. Even though I have loved this bag for years, it’s time to let it go.

I admit that I thought I would never get rid of this bag. I have a friend who really loves this bag and she said if I ever get rid of it to let her know. I was like, “yeah, girl, right… I’ll do that.” So I did that, but it’s up for grabs to you, too, because it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.

One of my Lenten learnings through the years is that we don’t need all of this stuff. The more I give away, the more I want to give away. The more bags I give away, the better I feel. Many of you practice generosity during Lent; I love seeing what you’re doing. I pray that I can continue to be this generous throughout the rest of the year.

day 43

This Avorio hobo made in Italy was hanging at the Mt. Washington goodwill for $8. I almost injured myself snatching it from the rack. Those days are long gone, un/fortunately. Here’s more about it. Pebbled leather, neutral color, adjustble strap – and a black hole.

This year is a little more… at home. Yeah, that’s my foot and one of my New Balance lightweight runners. The goal here is to get a photo each day and sometimes that photo is more real than I’d like, but that’s ok – welcome to my life.

day 40

Latico leather hobo. Got this at TJ Maxx during the orange craze. It’s super soft and a bit of a black hole, but the color pop pop pops.
